Project Scope

Lanyon is the leading provider of content and spend management solutions to the travel, transportation and hospitality industries. Lanyon approached Cardinal to help them provide application design, UI and strategy for the meeting and online registration component of their Total Hospitality Spend Management™ solution.

The Lanyon Total Hospitality Spend Management™ is the first industry platform that consolidates every aspect of corporate hospitality spend that has previously been managed within separate applications, including transient hotel, meetings and events, engagements and projects, and rate integrity. Lanyon Total Hospitality Spend Management is the first and only industry solution that allows corporate travel buyers to source and manage every aspect of their hospitality spend through a single, unified platform.

With Cardinal's domain expertise in online registration and meeting management software, we were the perfect candidate to put together designs and specs for the next generation system. We worked closely with meeting professionals and users to design a cutting edge application that would leapfrog the existing systems in the marketplace. The goal was ease of use and flexibility.

The new platform includes a state of the art drag and drop registration form builder which allows planners to build highly complex and customized registration forms visually. Easily customized ad hoc reporting was essential and so we delivered a prototype for an advanced web based report builder that allowed drag/drop access to all the data fields within the meeting platform. We also designed an intuitive website builder UI so that each meeting could have it's own website and quickly select from a library of design templates and/or a custom one.
